The ETF Charter:
The Economic TeleDevelopment Forum was purposefully created around the following endowment charter and objectives, back in 1998. Since then, our value proposition has adapted and changed to reflect our growing constituency needs for practical information and policy guidance.
- A realistic vision of what localized non-partisan TeleDevelopment public policy can accomplish through the effective utilization of existing resources and subject-matter experts to champion proactive public/private partnerships.
- A statement of direction for any constituent, group, or public entity seeking guidance on how to become a catalyst for leading their own community’s evolution towards prosperity in the global networked economy.
- A pragmatic action plan to extend theoretical TeleDevelopment concepts and models into the realm of a meaningful business case template that can be modified to fit the dynamics and realities of any municipality.
- A reference point of catalogued existing information and knowledge relating to telecommunications infrastructure, and its direct relationship to enhancing economic development and community growth.
- An optimistic reminder that technology is but a means to an end, and that an infrastructure application end result should positively impact all elements of society and its engaged constituents who demonstrate a desire to participate.
