Demonstration of First XDS Transmissions

David Broberg is show in April 1993 demonstrating the first television to decode line-21 Extended Data Transmissions (XDS). Mr. Broberg was the principal author and chairman of the authoring committee that wrote the standard. The resulting EIA-608 standard describes a system for data transmission of program related descriptions such as network name and program name shown here.
