Colombian Kitchen Recipes



 


 
 
CURRI  SAUCE
(for poultry, fish or seafood) 

1/2 cup of cold milk 
1 spoonful of maizena 
1 spoonful of butter 
1/2 onion
1/2 cup of chicken broth (1 cube of broth in 1/2 glass water) 
2 spoonfuls of dust curri 
1 spoon of dust cardamom 
salt and pepper

* Disolve the maizena in cold milk
* Cook the onion in butter using a casserole until is soft, soon adds the broth and the milk 
* Then, add the curri, the cardamom, the salt, and the pepper
* Stir with a wood spoon until it thickens, and uses on the meat. 
 

SWEET PEANUTS 

1 cup of water 
1 1/2 or 2 cup of sugar
1 pound of peanuts

Cook th peanuts with the water and the sugar, stir constantly until it forms a candy. Then, put the mixture in a tin greased of butter, and enjoy it.
 

MARIA LUISA CAKE

Ingredients

1 cup margarine 1 teaspoon baking powder
1 ½ cups sugar 1 spoonful vanilla essence
6 eggs 2 spoonful wine
1 ½ cups flour 4 spoonful milk

Preparation

Beat the margarine and the sugar until form a cream. Add the eggs one by one, beating very well. Add the rest of the ingredients and beat again. Spread the mixture in three greased and floured molds and bake in the preheated oven to 350° during 25 minutes. Join the cakes with fruit marmalade and sprinkle with sugar.
