*Personnel & Administration Executive
1) Personnel: Different aspects of recruitment (both internal staff and affiliate consultants) including placing recruitment ads, selection, interviewing & making job offers; prepare recruitment analysis & staff strength reports; apply employment pass, work permit & PR for foreign employees; orientate new staff; keep track of staff confirmation; organise gatherings, talks & events; handle complaints; conduct exit interviews; review and update company’s policies; verify transport, medical & overtime claims; update annual & medical leave; prepare & submit staff’s hospital & surgical insurance claims; general human resource administration.
2) Administrative: Source and purchase items (computers, notebooks, printers, modems, software, photocopier, LCD projectors, etc.); update and organise library resources; apply and renew banker’s guarantees; assist in administration of company secretariat matters; secretary of Management Meetings & Board Meeting; source for insurance policies; general office administration.
3) Systems Administration:Troubleshoot computer problems; collate with computer vendors to help solve complicated computer problems; administer Novell Netware 4.11, Arcserve and Groupwise; train staff on the use of computer applications. Currently looking into setting up internet for the company (web-site, email accounts, surfing).
4) Others: Supervise support staff; Chairman of company’s Chinese New Year cum Annual Dinner 1998; organise Annual Board Meeting; liase with suppliers; look into equipment repair; adhoc assignments.
