The transceiver is able to initiate or receive two-way speech communication to or from the following:

Any extension on a multifrequency PABX telephone system

Transceivers can also send a one-way speech message to any Aquarius speech pager
 

Up to 80 characters can be stored in the memory. Messages are displayed in blocks of eight characters and can be reviewed and deleted when required.

The display can be inverted by the user so that messages are legible whichever way round the transceiver is worn.

10 different bleep tones are available. Programmable options include: two volume levels, extended bleep time (to 24 seconds) or silent operation. A light flashes during the call; this can be disabled if required.

Each transceiver can be programmed with up to seven different addresses. The first address is the transceiver’s Individual Code number and the remaining six are Group Codes. Each Group Code can be allocated to any number of transceivers to allow them to be called simultaneously.

Addresses may be entered or changed by sending programming calls to the selected transceiver.

Power is supplied by a rechargeable battery. This will be charged when the transceiver is placed in a charging rack.

A low battery indication is made on the transceiver’s display when cells require recharging.

A display back light during message review.

Programmable option to prevent the transceiver being switched off.

Absence indication is supported when placed in an Aquarius absence rack.

Busy indication if system is already in use.

User replaceable clip.
