A W i d e r Shadowed Table
You can set the width to any value, change the paper color, or text styles.
In the next example, I will showing you the table divisions to help you understand how the effect is being accomplished. View the source code of this page for an explanation of shadowed tables.
You will need the shadow graphic - [trans4.gif/815 bytes]. Right-click and 'Save Target(Link) as...', or create your own transparent shadow. This one is a 4X4 pixel, alternating transparency, in GIF format.

Use the shadowed table in another table to have it appear as a sidebar style area. You can create a list of links in the shadowed table to act as a menu.
These are only a few of the many ways to use shadowed tables on your pages.
With a little bit of experimentation, you can create your own unique shadowed tables.
You can use graphics rather than just colored paper as backgrounds.
(Read the notes in the source code about background graphics).
The shadow effect will appear no matter how wide or narrow the table.
Experiment with the layout and have fun!
