Sherif A . Kholeif, is a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Alexandria University-Egypt (1992) in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich-Switzerland (1989-1991). A fellow at ETH Zurich (ETHZ) from 1992 to 1994 working with Prof. Dr. G. Anderegg.

Currently working as assoc. prof. of analytical chemistry at the Faculty of Science, Alexandria University (under supervision of the Supreme Council of Universities) - Egypt.

A master of science (M.S.) in chemistry from Alexandria University in 1986 and a bachelor of science (B.S.) from the same University in 1982.

Primary and high school education at St. Marc's College (1966-1978), Alexandria, a French private school.

Analytical chemistry training and quality control of pharmaceuticals at Hoffmann La Roche Basel-Switzerland (nine months during the years 1980 to 1982).

Equilibria in aqueous solution; stability constants, speciation, modeling, ionic strength effects.

Equilibria of immobilized compounds and biomass.

Theoretical and practical applications of potentiometry.

General chemometrics.

Batch chromatography with biological and chemical phases.
