GB3OV
GB3OV is a UHF Repeater serving the river Ouse valley in the counties of Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire. It is sited close to the village of Graveley approximately 40 meters above mean sea level, (High up for round here !!). GB3OV is administered and paid for by the Huntingdonshire Amateur Radio Society. It is intended primarily to cover the four Great Ouse valley towns, of Huntingdon, Godmanchester, St. Ives and St. Neots, hence the callsign GB3OV. The Repeater gives good coverage North along the A1 to Peterborough, South along the A1 to Sandy, East along the A14 to Cambridge and West along the A14 to Thrapston. The Repeater has been in service since 24 November 1985. It operates on a single Jaybeam collinear antenna at the top of the 10 meter mast, using an old Tait 300 series base station running 5 watts.
