Survivor bad boy Richard Hatch is getting married, but it's all about 'strategy'. Hatch and his boyfriend Emiliano Cabral, who live in Rhode Island had planned on getting married in nearby New Paltz, N.Y., but with Mayor James West's legal problems weddings there are all very tentative.

"We don't have a definitive date," Hatch tells Providence TV station WJAR. "We're looking into San Francisco and Portland, Oregon, where the courts are upholding the marriages."

The couple, who met a year ago, say they'd like to tie the knot in the next couple of weeks.

"From my perspective, a marriage is a personal thing. Emiliano and I have committed to one another already. We've made that commitment," Hatch said. "What we're looking for are the civil rights and responsibilities that Americans are entitled to when they're married."

And, Hatch has no qualms about using his notoriety to further the cause of same-sex marriage.

"Certainly, I've had my 15 minutes (of fame). If marrying to support a cause that I believe so strongly in is benefited by my notoriety, that's great," he said.
