String Theory is an attempt to find a theory of quantum gravity and also a theory that unifies all forces of nature. Although its aims are very ambitious, there has been a lot of progress in this theory, and it is considered now the most promising unified theory of all forces. Recently many symmetries have been unveiled that connect all five string models with another, eleven-dimensional model, called M-teory.
My topics of interest in this area are the study of mathematical aspects of the theory and also of its symmetries.
