Trance music is a subgenre of electronic dance music that developed
in the 1990s. Perhaps the most ambiguous genre in the realm of electronic
dance music (EDM), trance could be described as a melodic, more-or-less
freeform style of music derived from a combination of techno and
house. Regardless of its precise origins, to many club-goers, party-throwers,
and EDM adherents, trance is held as a significant development within
the greater sphere of post-modern dance music.I'm currently experimenting
with progressive-melodic trance with a technique known as inverse
flanging.
Last year i was invited to do a 1 hour set
on sydney's nova 96.9.The set got great reviews with many producers
asking me to come into a track production partnership, however i
have not made up my mind as to when i will produce my first independent
artist track.I run an online trance website called tranceaddict
along with a canadian based trance producer "SECOND SUN".The website
is the defacto for trance music technology and other various online
forums.I have four pioneer 500x turntables and a proDJ mixing gear
studio setup with a KORG and a YAMAHA synthesiser setup running
at 5ghz parallel.
