The Dominion
Between the Founders, the Vorta,
the Jem'Hadar, and the few civilians, the Dominion has bcome a force to
be reconned with. Starting out in the Gamma Quadrent the Dominion started
out with group who called themselves The Founders, and lived on what
has only been refered to "The Founders' Homeworld" in The Great Link. They
soon breed The Vorta, their Diplomats and "Battle-Field Generals", who
lead the other group the breed, the Jem'Hadar, the fighters, who are breed
to live and die with battle. The Jem'Hadar survive on a drug called Ketracel
White, which is distrubted by the Vorta. Using these advantages in STCCG
can create an indomitable force.
Most Dominion personal report
to the Gamma Quadrent. So, you're Dominion deck should focus on that. Have
all your missions in the Gamma Quadrent. Play your outpost with 1 White,
and 2 other Equipment cards. Start getting personal and mission done.
Another stratagy is to play
Ultimadum, and get a Bajoran Wormhole in play, and attack the Alpha Quadrent.
If you can take out your enemy with a lot of Jem'Hadar Attack Ships you'll
have time to scrap up on missions.
Also, it is possible to use
some Alpha Quadrent Jem'Hadar and personal, mixed with a variety of Non
Alingeds, to get a mix that can do Dominion Alpha Quadrent missions.
Want to have a two-pronged
attack, one in the Gamma Quadrent, one in the Alpha Quadrent? Try a treaty.
Use each affiliation's Alpha Quadrent advnatages to your advantage. Here
are the affiliations the Dominion has treaties with, and how you can use
them.
Cardassians-
The Cardassian have strong offensive capabilities. The Dominion could go
missions-hunting, while the Cardassians could go "opponent hunting"
The
Bajorans- With their special abilites concerning personal enchancements
they make an interesting force to say, run a station with?
The
Romulans- Combine Espionage stratagies and make no opponent's mission safe.
Try some trickery. Just because
you don't have a treaty doesn't mean you can't play both. Use the Federation's
quick-mission solving ability and the Dominion's long term enchancements
to get missions done when they need to be done.
Don't forget the Founders'
ability to infiltrate when using them against an opponent. Still no Cardassian
Founder, though...

Mission Solving works great late, but they don't
start quick enough.
Attack decks work great with Jem'Hadar Attack
Ships being universal and donwloadable with Spacedoor
Treaties could use some work, not enough advantages
and too few of them.
Founder help greaty, along with a normal complement
of Espionage cards, for a high Espionage rating.
Overall they're a well-balenced affiliation,
that's tricky to play.
