Our lovely daughter QingQing (Michelle) has many interests. She learnt Chinese painting when she was 4 and a half years old. I kept many of her paintings and brought these pictures form China to UK, then Waterloo and now in Montreal. When we settled down in a city, I liked to use these pictures to decorate our living room. I always tell our friends I'm very proud about these pictures when they visited us. This cock (right side) was painted in Glasgow in Aug. of 1997, when my father visited us and he was a Chinese Painting teacher in Glasgow Chinese School. The following picture was drawn in Jul. of 1997.  

There was a party to celebrate Hongkong re-joining to China. The paintings on the wall were drawn by my father. We all had a great time and were very happy. After that, Michelle's interest changed to writing. She suddenly had many ideas to write a story, and she wrote about 5 stories ( some stories were for her mother's birthday present ). We keep all these stories. Though some of them are very childish, I think they are still very lovely. After a half year, Michelle's teacher told us Michelle's English level was over her age for one year.  Michelle's Mathematics is also good. She won two gold metals in Scotland St. Andraw Primary Mathematics Challenge and Glasgow St. Rochs Secondary Primary Mathematics Challenge. Michelle has many friends. Every day she answered many phone calls and sent many e-mails to her friends who is far from there. After half a year of studying in a French welcome school, her French has improved greatly. Maybe she will enter normal school soon.
