Madeleine Zirbes of the USGS. Delightful lady,
who was also in the lobby assisting visitors.

Part of the newly revised "permanent" display in the
lobby. For this 150th anniversary
open house, the number of displays was very large,
perhaps too many for one person to
even read, counting the Federal Center displays also.

The lobby display of the Charles Richter magnitude
scale.

A lobby scene. The large posters are of a transparent
plastic, a interesting new medium, and quite attractive, but not too obstructive
for the view.

Another lobby area scene. Quite abit of area
was devoted to geomagnetism, which was very
interesting to see. About all the picture posters
in the background is of geomagnetism, but
proved to be too great a number to photograph individually.
