develops SAN products that integrate storage capacity, servers, clients,
and software. This integration of hardware, middleware and software
integration requires attention to operating system, networking, and installation
procedures. The integration varies dependent upon storage product, Unix
and Windows platforms, and software.

to the project: testing of installation and configuration procedures,
process diagram, software testing, verification procedures, and quick start
guide.

RESOURCES GROUP-DRE (98-00)
Project
& Environment: The New Enterprise Information System (EIS)
application manages California real estate information and processes for
the Department of Real Estate (DRE). This new application replaces
the existing EIS and Tandem data processing platform with a single integrated
EIS. This project utilized software development in PowerBuilder and
integration of application on a Unix Server/Oracle Database and distributed
to a Windows NT environment.
Provided
to the project: user interface design, master online help system,
testing deliverable design, testing, original UML (Use Case) deliverables,
developer documentation, design documents, administator documentaton (includes
installation and configuration management, network diagrams, deployment
instructions, SQL code-functions,procedures,triggers), user manuals, guided
online tours, and training packets (online and hard copy).

& Environment: EDS maintains and develops the programs,
inputs, data elements, reports, tables, screens, and files for CA-MMIS,
the Medi-Cal Claims Information System for the Department of Health Services
(DHS). CA-MMIS comprises a large mainframe system and numerous sycophant
non-mainframe subsystems. State policy dictates non-mainframe applications
be built to accommodate new programs within the Health Care Industry. The
working environment is massive and includes: IBM 3090(MVS/ESA), IBM PCs,
DOS, SCO UNIX, Windows NT, Windows 95/98, Cobol languages (II/370), JCL,
SQL DYL280, Assembler, EasyTrieve, IBM Utilities, Fileaid, CHAMP, CA-7,
FORTE, C++, C, Perl, Java, Access, Paradox, FoxPro, Visual Basic, and Oracle.
Provided
to the projects: team leadership, mentorship, training, project
management, busiess analysis, research, diagramming, help systems, all
phases of system documentation - both SLC and UML, software developer references
(API), design documents, administator documentaton, user manuals, guide,
and training packets (online and hard copy).
