There are many questions that need to be answered regarding the information that will be presented on the intranet. These question are very important in implementing a successful intranet web site. Some of these questions deal with how content will be submitted, who will be in charge of presenting this content in a format that can be viewed in the intranet, and what the legal questions are involved.
The first question that we will be answered is how will content be submitted ? Each department at each office will be encouraged to write content. This content will be submitted to the web publishing team. Each location will be allowed to hire a web staff. This staff will made up of a an editor, several developers, and a web master at the corporate office.
The next question is how will this web staff handle the content is submitted? The way that content will be handled is that content will be submitted to the editor who will check it for grammar and appropriateness. After the editor gets done checking the content it is submitted to the developers who will turn the content into a form that can be viewed on the intranet. Then the files that are made by the developers are submitted to the web master who uploads them to the server. The web master is also in charge of answering any question or problems dealing with the intranet web.
As for the legal concerns, all content submitted to the editor becomes property of the Walnut Shipping Company and will be under the company copyright policy.
