In this section we will describe the process in which the structure of are intranet will be designed. This story board will soon be first mapped out in this document then it will be presented as a demo on a web server. This document will present the intranet site as layers. An example of this would be the home page of the site is the first layer. This story board is also the site map.
The first layer of the web site is the home page. The home page will contain links to all of the department home pages and any documents that are relevant to the company as a whole. As well as a section that links off to the news of the day. Also on this layer will contain a search box that will allow users to find information that is contained on the intranet.
The second layer has the home pages of each department. Which includes human resources, marketing, accounting, and administration. Also included in this layer is the documents that contain the general information for the company. As well as the today's news page.
The third layer contains all the documents and for all of the departments. This layer also contains all of the content that the department wishes to post on the intranet. As well as an archive of old today's news and any other links off of these pages. If there are any other layers they will be defined later.
