We learned from part one of the Greek Architecture assignment that "The nicest houses used pebbles to create mosaics. To do this, they went to the seashore and collected colored pebbles of similar sizes and arranged them in sand to make a picture or pattern on the floors or walls."- Greek Architecture:

Your job is to use different colored construction paper of similar sizes to design a mosaic art piece on any part of ancient Greek society that interests you. You may use your classroom text book, or other books, or websites to help you decide what topic to draw.

Start by choosing a topic and drawing the scene in pencil. Make a note of what colors you will use. For example, if there is sky in the background, you will want to use blue and white construction paper for sky and clouds. If there are hills and ground, you will want to use green and brown paper pieces.

CAREFULLY use the different colored construction paper and glue sticks to create your mosaic. I am looking for your BEST work, not your fastest work.

Some topics you may consider are:

Architecture
Athletics
Farming
Myths: Gods and Goddesses
Music and poetry
Pottery
Early ships
Theater
