Rosa Parks

Use Microsoft Word to write a reaction to what Rosa Parks did in 1955. Start your paper with a proper header (Date, Name, Title). Begin with a topic sentence that includes Rosa Parks' name. Be sure to read Rosa's story first! After reading Rosa's story, then come back and look at questions below to help you write your reaction.

Questions to answer:

What does the word segregation mean? Do you think Rosa Parks was a hero for standing her ground? If so, why? Why do you think people in the south treated African Americans so unfairly? Was the bus boycott important? If so, why? What was life like for African Americans in Montgomery after segregation on public buses was declared illegal? Was Rosa Parks's life different? If so, how?

After writing your paragraph, use KidPix to draw a picture that goes with your reaction. Use the TRUCK and the MAGNET to select, COPY, and PASTE your work into Microsoft Word. SAVE your work as "YOUR NAME Rosa Parks" into the TEMP FILE. Restart and PRINT your work.
