2. Choose one of the four major players in the Underground Railroad to write a paragraph about. Use Microsoft WORD to write your paragraph, and begin with a proper header (DATE, NAME, TITLE - Your person's name).*

* Your teacher may assign a character to you from a card packet, or from the Web site link below:

National Underground Railroad Freedom Center: People

Here's how to get started writing your paragraph:

Your first sentence must include the person's name and something that they did to help slaves find freedom.

The next few sentences will be your thoughts about your person's actions.

Did you think their actions were peaceful, or violent, and why?

Did you think their actions were legal, or illegal, and why?

Did you think their actions were effective, or ineffective, and why?

In your final sentence say if you believe your person did the right thing, and why.

3. SPELL CHECK, RE-READ, and PRINT your work.
