"If parallel lines cut 2 other lines, then there are proportional sections in those 2 lines"
Theory Of Thales (643 - 548 B.C.)
The paradox of the barber! "In a village, where all men shave, lives only one barber, who shaves all men who don't shave themselves. The logical dilemma is that: <<Who shaves the barber?>> 1) If the barber doesn't shave himself, then he gets shaved by the barber, so he shaves himself. 2)If the barber shaves himself, then he doesn't get shaved by the barber, so he doesn't shave himself." (The paradox is due to the wrong propositional calculus, as the philosoph B. Russel proved in the beginning of the past century.) |
