A typical street scene in Shanghai and Guangzhou.
Although I never taught in Hong Kong, we would go there en route
between other Asian destinations. It was a fun place to go and I had
some 'interesting' times there.
This is the Bank of China in Guangzhou (Canton) where I taught several
workshops. It was very modern although it amazed me that they would
put up structures like this using scaffolding made of bamboo!
Very busy street market in Guangzhou.
One evening, my friend Mika and I were walking down the street in
Guangzhou and there were so many bicycles parked on the sidewalk that
we decided to count all the ones we saw in one block. Well, we counted
over 250 in that one block and when we got to the corner, we found
this bicycle parking lot. We laughed so hard, we thought we'd die!
Me in front of a fruit stand in a Guangzhou street market.
