A busy street market in Istanbul.
My friend and colleague Erol in the Grand Baazar. He was explaining that
they make these vases in his home village.
The Blue Mosque is one of the most famous mosques in the world.
The Hagia Sophia was actually a Christian church that predates the Blue Mosque
by several centuries. It was built by the Roman emperor Justinian in the 530s
when the city was still called Costantinople.
This is one of the famous mosaics inside the church
which has stood the test of time rather well.
This is Erol and I on one lazy afternoon in a Turkish Bath House.
BTW, before you ask, it was Tobacco!
Erol, his wife, Gulbin, and their daughter Ishay in their flat in Istanbul.
