October 30, 1999

Well the rumors are true...  After four years together I finally asked Jennifer to marry me.  As I get the film processed and scanned I will put pictures of that night on this page.

The Story

Jennifer and I went to visit her brother in NY over Halloween weekend.  We flew into LaGuardia on Friday, October 29, 1999.  We spent most of the day (October 30th) walking around China town and Little Italy.  When we got back to her brother's apartment I told Jennifer that we had plans for dinner at 9:30 and we needed to leave before 9:00.  Because she didn't know that we were going to a nice restaurant she didn't bring the right dress.  Fortuantely, I did, so I brought a nice dress for her.  We went to "The Blue Wild" on the 107th floor of the World Trade Center.  We had a nice dinner looking out over the Statue of Liberty (and most of the Eastern seaboard for that matter).  After dinner I asked her to marry me, and when she stopped crying she said yes.  Several people in the restaurant started clapping and immediately afterwards a huge firework display began from across the Harbor (right over the Statue of Liberty).  Afterwards, we meet one of my college roommates at "Windows on the World" a bar next to the resturant.  Then we all went to a party in a huge loft in the East Village where Michaell and his roommates were partying in their halloween costumes.

<--  We went to visit the Soup Nazi, but he was closed for repairs.  Unfortuantly, the owner next door said he would be closed for good.

--> Before the Late Show we hung out with Mugibar and his little partner.  We bought really nice sweat shirts there, but they were way over priced!
