The picture to the left is a lamp testing system for small quartz bulbs. The two black cages atop the unit house and protect the small halogen lamps during the timed test. The cage-lamp holders can be positioned in the vertical and the horizontal for tests. The test voltage and time can also be varied to obtain data on the lamps. This data may then be plotted to determine lamp characteristics such as average life expectancy.
