Hi. My name is Mike and I live in sunny (not!) Cleveland, Ohio. I heard we have more cloudy days here than Seattle, it just rains less here. But I like it because it's where my family lives and I have friends nearby. :)
THE PRESENT

I work at UCP, that stands for United Cerebral Palsey. Sometimes I put pieces in bags or boxes. Sometimes I put on labels. Basically it all boils down to piecework. It hasn't made me a millionaire yet but hey, there were no job openings for cameramen on COPS. (And yes, that's absolutely my favorite show.)

My dad is a mechanic for the post office who races legend cars in the summers. Lucky for Richard Petty my dad didn't race back then.

My mom works in th epost office and makes sure I get all the rootbeer and iced tea I want. She rocks.

I also have a brother who is a computer nerd. He designs websites for businesses. After he takes over Microsoft he is going to buy me a mansion in Beverly Hills. Or maybe two. I may need the space for the ham radio collection I hope to have by then. :)

THE PAST

In June 2003, I was in a traffic accident while coming home from work. I was half-aslepp when the van I was riding in was struck by a car. It hit us so hard that the van I was riding in broke in half.

We were on a bridge at the time and I was afraid that we'd end up flying off into the water. Luckily we stayed on the road until the ambulance arrived. I was really scared.

The firemen and police officers helped save my life, although I still ended being in the hospital for over three months. The accident had fractured my spine and cut up my face, leaving a big gash over my eye.

I ended up with stitches in my back, ovver my eye, and running form my stomach all the way up to my chest. I looked a bit like Frankenstein. :) But the nurses at Metrohealth were awesome (and it didn't hurt that they were pretty cute too). But there must be a better way to meet women, right?

THE FUTURE

Someday, I'd like to be on my own. I've been talking to someone from Services For Independent Living about this but we're still in the early stages. It would be cool to have a place of my own to throw parties and chill with my homies... just kidding about that last part, Mom. :)

I want to get out more so I can meet more people, but for now I try to keep in touch by doing things like making this webpage with my staff,
emailing, making a myspace page, writing a blog, and IMing.

I'd love to add you as one of my friends, so if you're interested just drop me a line:
