Walks
I consider walks to be a power move that is
on only your hands. On this page I will name and describe some
walks (in my terms) also, I plan on explaining how to do a couple of em.
(All my moves are counter clockwise, opposite way the clock turns)
-
Handspin/Handglide- i don't think i need
to describe this move, here's how to do it though. First put your
LEFT hand down with fingers facing toward the LEFT, next put your elbow
half on your LEFT abs and half on whatever skin that is past your abs.
Now lean a little foward and bend your legs, try to stay stiff tighten
your abs and back. Now lean your body to the RIGHT and use your RIGHT
hand to keep you balanced. With your right hand push down so that
your spin, if your start falling to the RIGHT catch yourself and push again.
The reason I say catch yourself and lean to the RIGHT is because your eventually
get better balance and if you lean to the LEFT your hand will fall out
from under you, yes I know it takes more energy but hey. Your wrist
might hurt when your first start but it will go away, also don't try to
make some monstrous pushes just little ones.
-
Turtles- your on both hands with fingers
facing outward and arms tucked in under you. To do this I hop for
one hop to get my momentum going and I place my LEFT under me like I would
for a Handspin, stay on your LEFT elbow next put your RIGHT hand
up so it above your LEFT hand. Now rotate your body so your hand
stay in the same spot but your body moves from your LEFT elbow to your
RIGHT elbow, as your turning bend your arm down so you can put your elbow
under yourself(hint, you must lean a little extra) and rotate on your RIGHT
hand, you don't have to know how to do handspins on your RIGHT hand though.
Your hands should be in the opposite spot, LEFT hand on top and RIGHT hand
down. You then whip your LEFT hand and snap your upper torso to the
LEFT, it's like moving your LEFT shoulder down and your RIGHT shoulder
up (not just your shoulders though), the LEFT hand goes back under, now
both your hands should be under you in a type of V. Quickly snap
your RIGHT hand up to the top so they are above each other like this colon
:
(note, when your LEFT hand goes under your body then your RIGHT
hand goes up right away, no rotating or anything, like one of those ball
things, one goes up hit the other four and the one on the other side flies
up, just like that, in an instant your RIGHT hand goes up when the LEFT
goes under.)
-
Crickets- basically this move is a hopping
handspin. To do this I suggest you have turtles first but this is
my opinion, that's how I learned this move easily. Get into a handspin
position push off like in a handspin but rotate on your wrist and keep
your RIGHT hand on the floor. When your wrist can't turn anymore,
push off with your RIGHT hand and kick your legs up, when your in the air
quickly rotate your wrist so your fingers are back facing down. (the
key is to kick your legs up, also keep your right hand down pushing your
body up, you shouldn't be airborn with nothing touching the floor, until
you get them better.
-
Deadmans, Carousel- I'm not all the way
sure about these moves, but I think Deadmans are like turtles with legs
straight out and closed, but arms are extended. I think carousels
are the same as deadmans but legs are spread and straight.
-
Boomerangs- These need flexibilty and strength,
ok sit on your ass with legs straight, now spread your legs and put your
hands under your ass and pick you whole body up so that your only on your
hands and your back is straight and up, now you walk in a circle.
-
UFO's- These are kind of like boomerangs
except, instead of legs being put straight out, you look like your on your
knees, (except knees are not touching the floor) and walking in circles
on only your hands, which are between your theighs
-
Wolves?- These are exactly like UFO's except
instead of arms being between theighs they are outside of your legs and
knees are touching.
