The Amiga was introduced in Egypt not long after it was released to the World. The first few Amigas in Egypt where in fact A1000's. this was in the late 80's. Towards the end of that decade the Amiga had really began to take off. People in Egypt were understandably impressed by the price/performance ration it boasted. This was a really powerful machine to a market in which Personal Computers has just began to get popular. At that time XT machines still existed and a 286 with EGA displays set you back a fortune.

The prospect of having such colourful, noise-making power captured the hearts of many, and Amiga owners quickly became worthy of envy from other Computer Users. The Machine was an instant hit as a games machine, but it also went far beyond that. It served as the perfect tool for graphics people on a low budget. It was like a dream come true.
