I am a mechanical engineer, with post graduation
from Cranfield Institute of Technology, UK. I served in the Indian
Air Force and the Defense Research & Development Organization
of India for about 29 years before seeking premature retirement in 1993.
I started this research work on
development of the Elastic
Continuum Theory of Nature about 34 years ago simply as
a hobby, a scientific enquiry for deeper understanding of nature. The first
idea that finally developed into the proposed theory, occurred to me in 1968 in
the form of a vague possibility that the matter, at the ultra-microscopic or
fundamental level, might be existing as a form of localized or bounded packets
of strain energy in the highly elastic ether medium. The most fundamental
question that haunted me for many years was, “How could we attribute
quantitative dimensional properties of permittivity (ε0) and
permeability (μ0) to the empty space or nothingness?” This enquiry
led me to advanced studies in physics & mathematics.
I continued this research work in fits and starts,
single handedly without any assistance from any quarter. For instance, it
took me a number of years just to adapt the equations of elasticity from the
elastic material media to the elastic continuum. I first attempted to get my
work published in 1985 in a sort of half baked form but in vain.
After taking voluntary retirement from service, I
pursued this research project with full devotion and completed it in
1998. Since then I have tried my level best to get this work published in
some reputed journal but again without success. All editors keep advising me to
approach some more appropriate journal for proper evaluation and publication of
this work.
I personally consider the proposed theory
as one of the greatest fundamental theories in Physics, but
unfortunately, I have found it extremely difficult to bring it to the notice of
Scientific Community at large.
Perhaps this work is much ahead of its time!!
Any suggestions in this regard would be most
welcome.
If you happen to appreciate my work, kindly let your friends know.
