Nyanga Highlands Geology
The Nyanga Highlands is a part of Zimbabwe that has yet to be
completely mapped geologically. The Nyanga Highlands are beautiful mountain land
- the highest mountains in the country -- located in eastern Zimbabwe, north of
Mutare. They comprise the Zimbabwe Craton and the overlying Umkondo Group.
My work in this areas consists of an ongoing mapping project on Nyangani
Mountain and in the Nyazengu area to the west.
I recently presented a seminar on my work in
this area.
