Don Whillans is for me the real hard man of climbing and mountaineering. The fearless flat capped climber who used sheer grit and determination to lead the most brutal of lines. Seek out this mans climbs and you will know what I mean. I've suffered in the footsteps of this man but the rewards are worth the struggle.
