Lead developer for a product which extends legacy CICS applications to the web as JavaBean/EJB and COM components. Possessed "end-to-end" product knowledge. Evaluated new technologies for inclusion in the product. Primary development contact for Product Management, QA, field consultants and technical support. Acted as development manager's backup.
Architected and implemented a highly scalable MQSeries middleware interface between web/application servers and mainframe CICS transactions. All code delivered on schedule with low defect rate.
Deployed generated EJB components as well as servlets and JSP front ends to WebSphere and WebLogic application servers as well as wireless front ends to J2ME and WAP enabled devices. Wrote documentation for deployment procedures. Provided cross training to other organizations.
Provided onsite pre-sales demonstrations for prospects. Demonstrations led to customer commitments for field evaluations.
Acted as product support focal point ensuring success during customer evaluations
Developed and delivered "boot camp" training for technical support and field consultants. Training was well received and allowed both groups to hit the ground running when product became generally available.
