Lead developer for a product which extends legacy CICS applications to the web as JavaBean/EJB and COM components.  Possessed "end-to-end" product knowledge. Evaluated new technologies for inclusion in the product.  Primary development contact for Product Management, QA, field consultants and technical support. Acted as development manager's backup.

1994 to 1999 - Senior Technical Support  Representative - MERANT, Rockville, MD

Technical lead of call center providing support for a component based, object-oriented C++ development
framework, a C++ GUI class library and a GUI/Character based code generation tool. Responsible for prioritizing
defects across all product lines, QA of upcoming releases, evaluating new technologies,  managing
hardware/software budget, rollout of corporate FTP server and acting as mentor of new tech support reps.

 

1990 to 1994 - Advisory Instructor Developer, IBM Corporation, Gaithersburg, MD

Designed, developed and taught networking courseware for IBM clients and internal audiences.
Specialized in APPC/APPN an client/server programming. Provided consulting services to clients for
distributed application solutions and presented at IBM User Group meetings.
