| The Iota Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc, was founded on the campus of James Madison University on December 11, 1971. There were only 12-18 black students on campus at the time and of course the smartest ones founded the Iota Alpha Chapter as an avenue to channel their energies into public service and sisterhood. |
