I decided to be in the Research Triangle because I like technology, not just computers, and how, as humans, we interact with it. Not that I don't like computers; no! I love computers. I use a Macintosh Performa 6116CD av, the equivalent to a Power Macintosh 6100/60av with 24 MB RAM and a 700 MB HD along with an internal 2X CD-ROM drive. (If you're looking for a complete system, email me!) I'd like to move up to a Apple Power Macintosh G3 233 MHz Desktop. In the computers portion of my links section, you won't find many PC (Windows 95, Windows NT, Windows 3.x, 2.x, 1.x, MS-DOS, OS/2, etc.) sites because I'm a MacAddict.
If you know anything about my daily schedule, you'll know that I volunteer to tech ("Men In Black") for our high school's drama department, a LOT! I'm almost always involved in set construction, and I really love working with the sound system (I've been called "The Groovin' Tune DJ"), but sometimes I'll have to play with the lights. That's mainly Robin's domain though. So far, I've been an integral part of Grease, Rumors, Class Action, David and Lisa, Guys and Dolls, Sometimes I Wake Up, All In The Timing, and 24 Hours AM/PM. I really enjoy the time that I spend in my high school's auditorium. Right now, we're getting ready to have a new lighting system installed, and I get to figure out what gets bought! Just as long as I stay in the budget...
I also like cars, and driving them. My current vehicle is a blue 1977 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe 10. I'm kind of thinking about restoring it. It's an old farm truck, with only 51,000 miles on it, but it needs a lot of body work. It finally got the new exhaust system!!! It's so incredibly quiet now, you don't have to turn up the stereo over the engine! It still needs power steering, though. However, I do prefer imports, especially the Honda Accord. My mom has an '86 Accord LX-i, which I so dearly love. You'll find lots of links to sites with car information on them in the links section.
On top of all this, I really like writing short stories, or semi-short ones anyway. I'm even probably going to move this site to another neighborhood in GeoCities, because I'd like to equip this site with some of my most hilarious works. Everyone says that they're more insane than I am! Read some of my stories.
I made it back from Japan!!! It was soooo fun. We did everything imaginable. Two amusement parks, the Toyota Automobile Museum, Zen, castles, temples, beaches, shopping, and tons of food later, here I am, back in the States showing my new friends Masashi, Katsuya, Miho, and Mariko how we Americans live. We're having a totally awesome time! I'm going to see about getting some pictures from my trip up here as soon as I get them developed. I took almost 9 rolls of 24 exposure film!
