In January 2000, Quad will release a new 40w version of the classic Quad II featuring KT88 output valves accompanied by a new pre drawing inspiration from the Quad 22, but with modern electronics and styling - the Quad 24. The new Quad II-40 was launched at the London Hifi Show in September - I'll publish more information as I hear it...
Here's the full II40/24/II40 system. Designed by Andy Grove (previously of AudioNote), the new combo draws from classic Quad II and 22 design, but combines it with modern valve technology and aesthetics...
