This amp, the QA12/P (Quality Unit Amplifier 12 watt with pre-amplifier) was extremely influential at the start of the domestic hifi market. Produced from 1948 - 1951, it was originally designed for lab and studio applications, but soon began to sell for use in the home - thus spawning the demand for high quality domestic music reproduction.
