16th National Symposium on Plasma Science & Technology
December 17-20, 2001

Centre of Plasma Physics had the privilege to host the 16th National Symposium on Plasma Science & Technology (PLASMA 2001) during December 17-20, 2001 at Guwahati. The symposium was organized in active collaboration of Plasma Science Society of India (PSSI).

More than 130 scientists and researchers from different universities and institutes of India took part in the symposium. Prof. H. Schamel of University of Bayreuth, Germany, was the lone foreign participant.

The symposium was organized at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra, Guwahati, and was sponsored by, besides CPP itself, by the following scientic agencis, institutes and organizations:

  • Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Govt. of India
  • Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India
  • Department of Science, Technology & Environment, Govt. of Assam

  • Northeat Development Finance Ltd., Guwahati
