Invocation

Touching hands heal each: movement spreads the sand pours through: filtering, what is "that said" the silent speech, the pressing grief, what more pours through: until the healing comes: with its: force making the pictures of grief: disappear zooming-out: shrinkage, until that turning point away from the descent and until that point long overdue the renewal.

The "Invocation" gives instructions on the Interaction as Mouse Movement:

  • Color Changes on these Interactive Pages Stimulate Reverie: The "Invocation tells the visitor that the picture of Grief gets smaller as one gets closer to Healing

[ Test if a Page is Highly Interactiveby moving the mouse over the Image. If there is a color change the Page is Highly Interactive]

This web presentation creates an environment which allows the public to experience an interactive treatment of Grief, in this sense this web-site would be good material. Otherwise the compelling nature of this material is unfortunate for: the families impacted, the daughter of the deceased parents, anyone's children and their parents, as well as the perpetrator of these events and his sister.

This site is a response to "Life Out of Balance" to the events of May 21, 1998 and other events around about that time. As part of an Oregonian group show on "Life Out of Balance: Issues on School Violence" I have started to consider the topic of Grief.

The events of May 21,1998 are familiar to others at Thurston High School in Springfield, Oregon.

This presentation focuses on Grief rather than Violence, in this case, the death of two students and the parents of the student currently being held in custody.
