Hull and Bulkhead

The original Titanic had 16 watertight compartments running from the bow to the rudder.  The bulkheads only extended up to the underside of F deck except for the bulkheads at the bow and the stern, here they extended up to the underside of E deck.  Another major design alteration that will be added is a double hull.   This will only extend up to the underside of E deck with the bulkheads.  This inner hull will be sealed at the top, so if the outer hull is damaged and water floods in the space between the two hulls will flood and there will be no risk of the water getting into the inner hull.  If the outer hull is ruptured and is full, the vessel will be less stable in the water but I shall remain afloat.

Engines

This is a major alteration to the original design.  As you may know, the original Titanic had 29 coal fired boilers which required a large workforce to feed constantly. So, it has been decided that the new Titanic will have oil fired boilers.   This will not take up as much space as the coal boilers so the free space will be used for the stowage of cargo.

Accommodation and Public Areas

Almost all of the cabins will be double in size to reduce the passenger capacity.  The cabins that are not doubled in size will be about 5 to 10 from each class so the customers have a choice to experience the 1912 way of ocean travel.   The 3rd class open births will be used as a Titanic and White Star Line museum.   There will still be the 1st, 2nd and 3rd class ticket holders but there will be no solid division between them, except for one see dining arrangements.  Certain areas of the vessel will have strict dress codes to keep the grandeur of the original Titanic.

Dining Arrangements

The 1st class dining saloon on D deck will be the only access restriction for the passenger areas of the vessel, as this will be for the soul use of 1st class ticket holders only.  The 3rd class dining saloon on F deck, the 2nd class dining saloon on D deck, the restaurant and the informal Café Parisian will be open for all passengers to use.  The restaurant and the second class dining saloon will have the ability to be set up for conferences either at sea or at port.

Operation and running of the vessel

The overall control of the vessel will be in the hands of Project Titanic.  For the running of the vessel, it is planed that a cruise line such as Cunard or P & O will operate the vessel with their bookings and their Crew.   (This is subject to change)

Financing

This is under discussion.
