New World Grail
This life that we live,
if spent only to ones own purposes,
is
of little worth or sense,
unless it is also spent in the service of
others.
The greater the spending on others,
the greater is its value and worth.
That which is most precious to us,
is valuable only in the degree in which we
give it to others.
This redirection of ones incentive for
acting,
is known as having taken a drink of the cup
of life.
In so doing you will embrace eternity.
So I implore you,
drink of this cup,
knowing the true meaning of taking such a
drink,
and reflect that having once drunk thereof,
your life belongs to others and not to
yourself.
Forever after you will live in this majestic
land,
where earth and heaven are but reflections,
one of the other.
It is not wise for anyone to avoid this
grail,
and it is not appealing for them to try to
do so.
Even if they were to succeed in avoiding
this cup of life,
regardless of what would be in store for
them,
how could they live afterward having run
away like a coward?
Who will listen to their boast?
Or stand shoulder to shoulder by them in the
thick of it?
Such a person,
in truth,
is already dead,
and worse than that,
without honor.
All that is valued before in life,
becomes of no importance to those who drink
of this cup.
Once having drank of this cup,
one becomes forever changed,
and it is the nature of change,
that once made,
it can never be erased.
The world no longer is the plaything of any
man,
for the life of the world is longer than any
mans.
A man may meddle in the world during his
lifetime,
but beyond that,
the world and all the countries in it pass
on.
It is senseless for a man to seek to return
and try to repossess that which has been
passed on to others.
For everlasting life is something that every
man can have.
The value of the life of a man,
which has been spent on his own ends,
is nothing,
and when such a man’s life is lost,
nothing is lost.
The value of the life of a man spent in
service to others,
is beyond all measure.
Such a man’s life is never lost.
Such a man does not die.
That strife that ceases is peace begun,
and that which we call time is but eternity’s
crippled brother.
Pay the small part lest you have to pay the
larger,
and have no gain to show for the payment.
It is good to hold your hands in prayer,
and perhaps it is good to open them to give.
Whether it is for Our Creator,
your
fellow man,
humanity itself,
our mother earth,
and all the entities that live by the grace
of her existence,
compel yourself to act for the sake of
others,
and not solely for yourself.
In this way,
your acts will embrace all those who inherit
our beloved home,
and in so doing you will inherit everlasting
life,
by your deeds done for others.
