very simple pop-pop motor
This is a very simple pop-pop motor shown in a test rig made from a blister pack; a pipette made from a straw with a split end is used to prime it
It is made from a bit of coke can metal approx. 4.5cm x 8.5cm folded over on itself & glued with araldite
The top end is glued, folded over & crimped with a pair of pliers. Two bendy drinking straws are glued in the bottom, their ends trimmed to about 2cm above the bend
It isn't exactly smooth-running but is easy to make & start and very economical on the expensive glue.
