:
Extensive experience in measurements of thermo-physical, physico-chemical
and physico-mechanical properties.
EXPERIENCE
:
1994 - present Polytechnic
University, Brooklyn, NY
Department of Chemical Engineering
Research scientist, Post-doctoral Research Associate
-
Investigate density, concentration, viscosity, refractive
index, turbidity, conductivity, heat-capacity and heat of melting of aqueous
solutions, kinetics of gas hydrate formation in aqueous solution of THF.
-
Research effect of Ultrasound on Dextrose Monohydrate
Crystals and distribution of particles in aqueous solution of Dextrose
using Laser light scattering.
-
Research purification of terephthalic acid in process
streams by DSC and DCP.
-
Analyze composition of various industrial waste materials
by DCP, ion-selective titration, X-ray powder diffraction.
1970 - 1994 Institute of Physical and Engineering
Problems of the North, Yakutsk, Russia
Senior Research Associate
-
Investigated the adhesion of ice and gas hydrates to the
walls of gas pipelines and presented recommendation to prevent the formation
of gas hydrate in gas pipe lines.
-
Examined the influence of disperse media on phase equilibrium
conditions of gas hydrates and water and theorized on the possibility of
the gas hydrate in the Earth crest.
-
Investigated experimentally the thermophysical properties
of polymers, ice, gas hydrates and disperse media, filled with gas hydrates
or ice.
-
Investigated influence of gas hydrate formation on the
migration of water in disperse media and the kinetics of crystallization
of gas hydrates in disperse media.
