Bodenheimer's pipistrelle

Pipistrellus bodenheimeri:

     The colour of this pipistrelle is very distinctive with a pale buff colour dorsally , whitish ventrally. Since this species is the same size with P.ariel it can distinguished by the rather narrower muzzle and by having a bicuspid upper first incisor .

     Range of species from Aden, Sinai, Jordan and Palestine. it is known to occur west and south west of the Dead Sea.

     These bats feed intensively in the evening hours and may gain up to 15% of their weight during that time. it  can be found a round Acacia trees and pregnant female was collected in Wadi Rum by ( Qumsiyeh et al., 1992).
