Pipistrellus Kuhlii:

This pipistrelle is distinguished from other pipistrilles in Jordan with a white posterior margin on the wing membrane especially between the foot and the nearest finger . Fur colour pale buff dorsally , underside white. The first upper incisor is unicuspid and the second incisor is very small.

Range of species is most Africa, southern Europe and the near east of Pakistan.

This species is very common in Jordan because it adapted well to lining in towns and cities. It was collected from a mesic and from dry desert habitats. It occurs in human settlements in cities and villages. Ten individuals ( one male and nine female) were found roosting in a deserted brick wall in al- hazm area, eastern desert ( Qumsiyeh et al., 1998) .

Active bats were seen from January through late September. Remains of Kuhl's Pipistrelle were recovered from the Barn owl pellets ( Dor, 1947).
