Rhinolophus blasii:

Medium-sized bat, Sella wedge-shaped with a upwards pointing connecting process, nose-leaf broad. lancet blunt, fur pale brown, more buffy brown , and lighter on the underside. Wing membrane extends to ankles.

Its range from Mediterranean woodlands from Italy and Morocco east through Arabia to Pakistan and north to Russia.

This species recorded in both  Mediterranean and desertic regions. It was collected from the Roman caves near Jarash Refugee camp (Mediterranean) as same as in Wadi Finan near the Arabah valley which is very dry desert habitat. It is thus possible that both a desert form and a mountain form of R.blasii occur in Jordan.

it is also recorded in Amman, Ash Shawbak, Jarash, Al Karak, Madaba, Tabaqat Fahl and Zubia.
