I am concluding my Ph.D. in Telecommunication Network Engineering at School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, State University of Campinas, Brazil. I have been working with Automatic Switched Optical Networks (ASON), Traffic Theory and System Performance Analysis of ATM, MPLS, ASON and DWDM Networks over the last six years at the Laboratory of Photonic Technology. My Ph.D. thesis consists of researching how could be making an improved mechanism of routing and wavelength assignment based on minimum cost and shortest path algorithms in Automatic Switched Optical Networks (ASON) to achieve the principal goal: an all-optical networks. I graduated as an electrical engineer and majored in Electronics in 1995 at Itajubá Federal School of Engineering, Brazil.
