Shimadzu and Ladies Clubs

....some field sales personnel have the ladies' bug!

The ABC news magazine show 20/20 aired a story on August 3, 1998 entitled "A Day at the Office." The story chronicled the obsession of some sleazy sales people who lure willing customers to houses of ill-repute to consummate business deals in front of women who bare their breasts (among other things). Many find this practice offensive and degrading to women. But there are sales people in the Shimadzu organization who voraciously engage in this squalid conduct all in the name of bringing in sales dollars. Even worse are the Shimadzu sales managers (both regional and national) who turn a deaf ear and a blind eye to these sordid tactics while their pockets are being padded.... a dirty little secret! One former Shimadzu salesman in particular (Dexter Wright) had perfected these skills to an art form while trolling for business deals from at least one major well-known pharmaceutical company headquartered in the upper mid-western part of the United States. Can you say Eli-Lilly? Who are these customers that need a female breast waved in front of their faces to close a business deal? Shame on Shimadzu for contributing to a decay in business moral standards!

What is even more disturbing is the fact that these escapades to frequent ladies clubs are written off as corporate business expenses. Shimadzu subsequently reimburses the sales people for these so-called "legitimate business expenses" while the company writes them off in the form of tax deductions for conducting "official company business." The taxpayers of this country pay indirectly for these filthy sexual escapades.... this must STOP! Do you despise this kind of behavior? Will you do business with a company which conducts business in this despicable manner? Stop doing business with Shimadzu until they tidy up their house!


n.b. Last time, we wrote about Japanese men who have an insatiable appetite for women and sex as evidenced by the bevy of geisha girls in their native homeland. Now we have American sales people who carry on just like their Japanese counterparts.... talk about inbreeding! Does this organization have any respect for women whatsoever? Do any Shimadzu managers display any morals when it comes to this form of sleazy conduct? Will anything be done to halt this appalling conduct which appears to be running wild among some in the Shimadzu field sales organization?

n.b. We learned about this disturbing conduct about 3-4 years ago after hearing Mr. Dexter Wright (among others) brag about his abilities of bringing in sales dollars while meeting his quota. His regional sales manager (Mr. Tom Fay) was grinning from ear to ear as his top sales rep described the escapades of scantily clad women who teased willing customers provocatively. When the story was relayed to Mr. Lorenz Brosnan (National Sales Manager), he was observed nodding approvingly.... what kind of message was he sending to the sales organization? We'll ask the question again: Is this a widespread problem plaguing other domestic and overseas consolidated subsidiaries of Shimadzu? What is Shimadzu's official corporate policy for customer entertainment? Are there any ground rules or does anything go?

n.b. Some medical doctor should order a mandatory head/neck examination for the entire Shimadzu organization because too many employees display the chronic debilitating problem of "looking the other way!" Will anyone submit voluntarily?

n.b. We've been telling you about "the other side of Shimadzu" for some time now. Are you still a non-believer? Well we can't force you to open your eyes if you're unwilling!

n.b. It just seems that if it's not one thing at Shimadzu, then it's another.... BIG drip, drip, drip!

 

Expect Less Value and More Disappointment from Shimadzu
