Duties and Responsibilities: The Program
Officer will primarily
focus on coordination of PEP delegations, but
when needed, will
"swing" between working with the Coordinating
and Community Outreach
Teams. As a member of the coordination
team, the Program Officer
coordinates PEP delegations in cooperation with
U.S. volunteer
organizations. This involves working with
local business
representatives to create an intensive training
program, in addition
to helping local volunteers develop and implement
home hosting,
transportation, social and media plans.
As a member of the Community
Outreach Team, the Program Officer researches
and targets communities
well suited to host delegations of Russian business
people. The
Program Officer approaches and maintains contact
with service
organizations in order to secure U.S. sponsorship
for delegations.
More specifically, duties and responsibilities
include but are not
limited to the following:
- Coordinate all logistics of delegations with
U.S. volunteers
- Create industry specific training programs
with U.S. volunteers
- Develop and prepare program materials
- Provide necessary support to volunteers during
project
implementation
- Verify that training programs comply with modules
developed for
business sector
- Evaluate each program upon completion
- Develop and maintain contact base
- Research and utilize information about industries,
demography,
organizations and opportunities in particular
regions of the U.S.
- Develop strategies for presenting PEP to potential
sponsors. These
can include: Telephone calls; sending materials
about the program;
writing e-mail, letters and faxes; writing articles
for local
newsletters; speaking at service organization
meetings
- Speak knowledgeably about the economic/political/social
situation
in Russia and the impact of programs like PEP
on a global level
- Other projects as assigned

Starting Salary: $27,000-$28,500

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for:
1. Handling all inquiries about the application
procedure from

and supervision of

financial position of the applicants by providing
confidential
reports, if needed. 9. Establishing contacts
with community leaders in
the Russian and Baltic regions and preparing
grounds for the
Principal's recruitment trips. 10. Good order
and maintenance of the
office (having all brochures, leaflets, application
forms, financial
aid forms, etc. available at all times). 11.
Keeping the school
informed about developments in the region. 12.
Presenting periodic
account reports to the school Board of Directors.
All expenses should
have prior approval of the Principal. 13. Providing
the school, on a
regular basis by fax, interesting articles published
in the local
Armenian press about the social, political or
educational developments
of the country. 14. Other tasks assigned by the
supervisors.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Good knowledge of Armenian, Russian
and English.
· Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel,
Power Point, Internet, etc. ·
Good interpersonal skills and personal initiative.
· Ability to travel
alone.

implementation and reporting of the ag. products marketing projects.
Main Responsibilities
· Market research, feasibility studies for development of marketing
projects · Conduct problem identification surveys of producers
and
processors · Conduct needs assessment to identify short-term
technical
assistance needs and participate on developing demonstration projects
· Participate in preparation of training programs and educational
materials for farmers and agribusiness · To participate in the
design
and integration of marketing mix in ongoing projects · Collect

Required Qualifications (education, knowledge, special requirements)

of
Armenia, English and Russian languages. 5. Computer skills including
