Outlook/Notes Mailto Settings

In case any of you want to get rid of the problem, or even care...

When I clicked on a 'mailto' link on a page, Lotus Notes would launch as my mail client. I wanted Outlook to launch. I could change it, but each time Notes was opened, it would again set itself up as the default mailto client. If you want to fix it, here's what you do...

1. Close Notes and Outlook.
2. Merge the attached reg file (mailto.reg) which will make Outlook your default mailto client.
3. Edit the c:\windows\notes.ini and add the following line: NotDefaultMailTo=1

That's it...

If your Outlook is in a non-standard directory, etc.. you can manually set the reg entry by going to Explorer | View | Options | File Types | URL:MailTo Protocol and point it to Outlook.
