Japan, The Mystikal

I was lucky to be in Japan, at the time of the World cup 2002 Soccer finals, in Yokohama. I had a fun time, with all the fans from various parts of the world. There was a (mysterious) lack of support for the German team, except for one small group that served free orange juice. (Is that why the Germans lost?) The Brazilian team on the other hand, was cheered on by near-crazy fans, shouting, singing and dancing...

This is the Best_dressed_person_of_tournament - ha ha ha!!!

There were so many people who wanted to get tickets to go in. These are some people waiting near the gate to get in at all costs!!!

There were zillions of die hard Brazil fans wearing their hero's shirts! Here is a picture of me patting a Rivaldo look alike for his good performance!

Dancing away in support of Brazil! Ole Ole Ole!!!

This was an Egyptian who came all the way to play music and cheer the atmosphere!!!

For the unlucky like us, this was the only way to watch the match in portable TV sets around the stadium...And when the "Phenomenal" goals were made, the entire crowd was on its feet!
